system32\drivers\Ntfs.sys, this is what poped up after I installed my kingston pc27000 512mb stick of ram into my computer. I already had my factory ram installed and that ran fine. I had recently installed windows sp2, I don't know if it makes a difference. Is there a way I can keep my new ram and not lose this file??

I can't imagine the file is related to the ram. Does it still give you a problem if you take out the new ram? Seems like it might be more SP2 related.

Hmmmm Can you give us the entire error and what you are doing when it happens? The file you are speaking of is the NTFS filing system file. seems like a strange error from ram. I would leane more towards the SP2 update being corrupted as Natty has mentioned.
It would also be helpfull if we could know the System specs as to " Computer brand -- Mother Board and what componets. also is it XP Pro or Home. if it is a store bought system what the Make and model number would help also.

I've seen that error before, something about it missing during boot? I saw it when I tried to use a sp1 load screen (I like custom load screens - WindowsXP Alien Edition ) Doesn't seem like yer problem, but that's all i know about it
